Don't get me wrong, the Dead and Allmans are great,, love love love this run. But... Delaney & Bonnie & Friends WITH Eric Clapton Jack Bruce & Friends Quicksilver and Country Joe & the Fish all for $5.50 each. Whoa.

That's nothing; I paid $ 5 for all my early Winterland shows. And on Tuesday nights, it was $ 2 bucks in 71-73 or so...

Never saw a show for that cheap, but in the 1980's you could go to a Monday night A's game for half price. So it was $.80 each way on BART and $1.50 for a bleacher ticket. If you had $5 bucks, you had enough for transport, the ticket and a hot dog!!

In the old Coliseum bleachers(pre-Mt. Davis) you could sit right down at field-level looking through the chain-link portion of the outfield fence and heckle the opposing teams outfielders.
